JAMMU, Jan 6: A 40-year-old pedestrian lost his life after being hit by a bike ridden by youths recklessly performing stunts in the Sidhra area here, officials said.
The deceased, identified as Ramadin, son of Hans Raj, originally from Chhattisgarh and currently residing in Sidhra, was on an evening walk near HDFC Bank when the incident occurred, they said.
The bike, ridden by two youths, Akshit and Nigam, was reportedly being driven recklessly, police officials said.
According to them, the collision left all three individuals injured.
“Ramadin, along with the two youth, was rushed to the hospital but the former was declared dead on arrival. The two bikers are receiving treatment at Batra hospital,” they said.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law and initiated an investigation into the matter.
