Record ceasefire violations during Modi Govt: Cong

JAMMU, Aug 14:   The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has said that the double standards of the BJP and its high claims over the issue of corruption and impropriety in public life, stand exposed in the recently concluded Parliament session, where the entire leadership of the party used diversionary tactics to save the wrong doers in the face of Lalit Modi and Vayapam scam.
In a statement PCC chief spokesman  Ravinder Sharma said that the entire country witnessed during the past about two months especially during recent Parliament session as to how the entire BJP leadership defended the wrong doers in Lalit Gate, Vayapam scam and other issues of corruption and impropriety, due to strength in Lok Sabha and suspension of Congress MPs, who were seeking appropriate action by the Prime Minister. All sorts of tactics to divert the attention of the public from the real issues, were used to save the suspects, instead of seeking their resignations on moral grounds as per past practice in such situations.
Mr Sharma said that it shows the hollowness of the slogans of the BJP, which has earned recognition as a Bharti Jumla Party in view of its falsehood on various slogans and commitments to the people during elections. The spurt in the activities of militants and anti-national forces in the State and record number of ceasefire violations are the hall mark of the 14 months of the Modi- led Government at the Centre and PDP-BJP Government in the State.
