Recruitment of teachers

Sir,
This has a reference to the news item “Govt to amend Rules of Recruitment of Teachers” DE May 11.
In this connection, it is submitted that the present complex situation in Education Department needs special attention of the Govt regarding betterment of working conditions and improvement of financial health of the teachers. Secondly, the Administrative and Inspection system of the Department should be strengthened at Zonal Level by creating more education zones and undertaking re-organisation at urgent basis. If we will recruit well qualified teachers and there will be no one to guide, supervise and inspect them, there will be no improvement on the ground.
Secondly, if  you will recruit teachers and plus two lecturers on less then half pay on contractual basis for five years as per SRO in force, then from where you will get good teachers. A well qualified candidate will prefer job of a police constable then to join as a teacher on half pay contractual arrangement. So the Government should realise this point that good teachers need good working conditions and sound financial health. A teacher of the day is not a saint or guru but  a human being who is struggling as unemployed for a dignified job. The present State Govt headed by Mehbooba Mufti  Ji and the Education Minister have taken good measures to streamline Education Minister have taken good measures to streamline Education Department and justified decisions are being taken for the welfare of people. It is hoped from the Justice loving Govt that the status and working conditions of 10+2 Lecturers and Teachers are not down graded. The decision to recruit graduate teachers  is welcome step but the lecturers and teachers should be kept out of Contractual Type Recruitment Policy for betterment of teaching learning process.
Yours etc….
