JAMMU, Jan 9: Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu is organizing two-day Red Cross Mela from tomorrow.
This was disclosed by Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Shantmanu while addressing media-persons here today. “The Mela is being organized at Gulshan Ground on January 10 and 11 from 11 am to 6 pm to generate funds for rendering humanitarian services of Red Cross Society”, he said.
The objective of the Mela is to highlight the fundamental principles of Red Cross movement, which include humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary services, unity and universality. The revenue generated from the Mela would be utilized for charitable social causes, the Divisional Commissioner said.
