Redress plights of Pahari community: PSSF

JAMMU, May 3: Pahari Student Samaj Front (PSSF) criticised the Government for its callous attitude towards the Pahari community.
A meeting of the front was held under the chairmanship of its spokesman Syed Zeshan Haider, who while speaking, said that the Government is hell bent to vanish the identity of the Pahari community.
He said that their demand of Schedule Tribe status is pending and the Government is making fake and false statements.
Zeshan further stated that students of the district Poonch are waiting for proper functioning of Jammu University campus there, but the Government is least bothered about that, which shows the apathy of the Government.
He demanded employment package for twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch and also urged the Government to make the policies for the upliftment of the Pahari community besides redressel to their long pending demands.
Among others present were Murtaza Jaffer, Alyas Ahmed, Rajan Singh, Shakeel Ahmed, Murtaza Mirza, Prabhat Singh, Bisharat Jatt, etc.
