NEW DELHI, Aug 14: Refined soya oil prices drifted lower by 0.72 per cent to Rs 654 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators reduced their exposure amid easing demand in the spot market against ample stocks position.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month September fell by Rs 4.75, or 0.72 per cent, to Rs 654 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 50,910 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in August shed 85 paise, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 645 per 10 kg in 16,930 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by traders due to low demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly weighed on refined soya oil prices in futures trade. (PTI)
