Refresher course for CB officers commences at SKPA

UDHAMPUR, Oct 15: A five-day refresher-cum-orientation course for the officers and officials of the Crime Branch (CB) J&K began at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) here today.
A press statement said that the course being participated by 18 officers and officials is tailored to meet the specific needs of the Crime Branch and to enhance the participants’ understanding of key areas such as FIRs and their evidentiary value, financial literacy, insurance frauds, counterfeit currency rackets, land mafia operations, the significance of DNA evidence, use of sexual assault evidence collection kits, cybercrime, and cyber forensics.
In his inaugural address, SSP Rajinder Kumar Gupta, Deputy Director (Indoor) emphasized the importance of the police’s role in serving the society, protecting lives and property, and conducting timely investigations.
He highlighted that continuous skill enhancement is vital to improving investigating practices.
Gupta also encouraged the participants to engage actively throughout the course to maximize its impact.
Ajay Bandral, Advocate; Rahul Pandit, Director of Ideogram Technology Solutions Pvt Ltd Jammu and some experienced police officers shared their insights on various topics during the course which was coordinated by Inspector Tilak Raj with the assistance of Head Constable Randeep Singh.
