JAMMU, Oct 27: After getting overwhelming response during the last three days, BJP’ “Refugee Adhikaar Yatra” on fourth day started from Sunderbani and after passing through Banpuri, Baja Bayein, Syal, Seri, Kalal, Gagrote, Patrara and Devak, it reached back to Sunderbani, where the party leaders held a meeting with the prominent traders associations late in the evening.
While addressing public and party activists Jugal said that the serial bomb blasts in Patna are the indicative of the non-seriousness in making adequate arrangements for Narendra Modi’s Hunkar Rally by Bihar Government.
He said the pockets housing refugees are in total state of neglect and living conditions are pathetic.
Chander Mohan Gupta said the areas touching borders with Pakistan are having the maximum population of refugees who have to suffer from both sides. While the State Government gives them step motherly treatment, Pakistan makes them the targets of firing resulting into causalities and injuries, which the Government never takes seriously.
Aseem Gupta said that the areas where refugees are in significant numbers lack all the modern amenities like road connectivity, availability of regular potable water and electricity, health care and educational institutions having minimum facilities of classrooms, toilets, adequate teaching staff etc. He appealed the refugees to strengthen the hands of BJP to enable it to serve their cause more effectively.
Ravinder Raina said that youth is the future of any nation but unfortunately thousands of youth from refugee families are idling away in absence of availability of any avenues for their future.
Sushil Sudan, Capt. Ramesh Sharma, Prithvi Raj Gupta, Ashish Sareen, Tilak Raj, Mulkh Raj joined the yatra from Sunderbani.
Meanwhile, State press secretary & yatra media incharge Balbir Ram Rattan informed that Member of Parliament & J&K BJP Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna will be reaching Chouki Choura on Monday morning to join and accompany this yatra for next two days.
