JAMMU, Oct 28: In order to streamline and rejuvenate the functioning of Revenue Department, Regional Director Survey and Land Records (Ex-officio Settlement Officer) Udhampur, Rajesh Kumar Shavan conducted the extensive tour of remote areas of Udhampur district.
The field tour to Latti, Dudu and Basantgarh was aimed to have interaction with the land owners with the purpose to know their difficulties regarding land records and functioning of department and also to ensure spot redressal of the grievances.
The SDM Chenani briefed about the functioning of Sub Divisional Administration and apprised the Regional Director about the problems faced by the department regarding infrastructure, vehicles and land records.
Villages of Sudmahadev and Mantalai were also visited and revenue camp organized at Latti where people from all walks of life including Lamberdars, Chowkidars, Ex-Panchs, Sarpanchs and respectables participated. The pending mutations were also got attested.
A similar camp was also organized at Dudu where the revenue work of the land owners was attended and a meeting held with Tehsil/ Sub-Divisional administration. Mutations were also got attested at Basantgarh.
Regional Director was accompanied by Sandesh Sharma, SDM Dudu, Tehsildar Latti Sushil Kumar, Kewal Krishan SDM Basantgarh and Harjeet Singh Tehsildar Basantgarh along with Niab Tehsildars of respective areas and other officials.
While concluding the four days tour, Shavan advised the revenue officers to enhance the field visits and interface with public to resolve all day to day issues with great proficiency and responsibility.
