UDHAMPUR, Mar 29: On the recommendation of Udhampur Police, registration certificates of three vehicles were suspended for bovine smuggling.
Besides registration of FIRs in concerned Police Stations wherein drivers were arrested and vehicles involved in bovine smuggling were seized, a detailed report regarding involvement of drivers/vehicles in bovine smuggling was also prepared by Police and sent to concerned ARTOs for the suspension of their Registration Certificates for their involvement in bovine smuggling and crime related to cruelty to animals.
Consequently, ARTO Udhampur has suspended registration certificate of three vehicles, bearing registration number JK14J-9971 (Owner Manzoor Ahmed son of Bashir Ahmed, of Sunadi, Udhampur), JK14H-1272 (Owner Nazira Begum, daughter of Mohd. Rashid, of Dalpar, Udhampur and JK14H- 6958, (Owner Mohd Sharif, son of Abdul Karim, of Samroli, Chenani.
