Regularisation of 77 Enggs step in right direction: AJKGEA

JAMMU, Aug 14: All Jammu & Kashmir Graduate Engineers Association (Civil) has termed the regularisation of the services of 77 Executive Engineers in PWD (R&B) Department as a step in right direction.
A meeting of the Association was held here today under the chairmanship of its J&K unit president, Gopal Sharma at its Central office, Lok Nirman Bhawan, Jammu to discuss burning issues of engineers and further line of action.
The Association expressed satisfaction over the regularisation of Incharge Executive Engineers as Executive Engineers in PWD(R&B). It lauded the initiatives of Shailendar Kumar, Principal Secretary, PWD(R&B) and his entire team for taking appropriate measures for streamlining the functioning of the Department and accelerating the confirmation process of Executive Engineers.
In the meeting Gopal Sharma expressed that the engineers have high hopes from Principal Secretary and it is expected that their sufferings viz regularisation of services of left out Engineers at various levels upto to the Chief Engineer and filling of vacant positions at all levels , as and when any post falls vacant ,will also be redressed shortly. This will encourage the engineers and will ultimately lead to timely completion of different schemes and developmental works.
The Association, also expected the engineering cadre review and regularisation of services of Engineers at all levels in Jal Shakti Deptt from concerned Commissioner Secretary of the department .It was also appealed to Principal Secretary, PWD(R&B) to get the SRO for Assured Career Progression scheme ,already approved in the favour of Engineers , implemented.
Prominent among those who attended this meeting online as well as offline were included Mujib Tak, chief patron, Z.A Malik, Rahat Gupta, Neeraj Sharma, Ashish Bhasin, Anil Thapa , Braham Jyoti, Kulbhushan Bhau, Vikram Dogra, Sanjeev Sharma, Arafat Masud and Rajan Mengi.
