JAMMU, Mar 22: Despite the Cabinet decision dated August 8, 2012, which says that all the daily wagers, who have completed seven years of their service will be regularized, the PDD is not taking any action to regularize even such employees who have been serving the department for last 18-19 years, said Kulbir Singh, provincial president, All J&K PDD Daily Wagers Union while addressing the media persons at Press Club here today.
“Despite the Cabinet Decision dated August 8, 2012, the PDD is not taking any action to regularize such poor employees even after the lapse of about seven months. Such inaction on the part of PDD administration is causing a great resentment amongst daily wagers”, he added.
He further said that that the Government should pass appropriate directions to the concerned authorities for regularization of daily wagers in PDD. He alleged that the department is adopting dilly dallying tactics in their regularization.
The leaders further said that the PDD authorities have no solid reason left for unnecessary delay in the regularization of daily wagers, as all the formalities have been completed in this regard. Moreover, the list of daily wagers of all districts of Jammu province have also been published in the daily local newspapers and the date for submission of objections by anybody, if any, has expired on March 15, they added.
The Union warned the PDD authorities to regularize all daily wagers by March 25, failing which the Union will be forced to lodge strong protets, dharnas, and agitations in all the districts of Jammu division.
Tarun Gupta, Balwinder Singh, Deepak Sharma, Vikramjeet, Vikas, Raju Saini were among others who addressed the conference.
