In Education Deptt, the officers are working in different capacities as Incharge incumbents. The case of their regularisation was discussed at a higher level. A Cabinet decision under decision No. 225/26/2011 dt 16.12.2011 was taken to regularise all Incharge Officers including Principals/ZEO’s, Headmasters and Lecturers. The decision has been partially implemented regularising headmasters and lecturers but no ZEO has been regularised under this Cabinet decision till this day. The ZEOs are anxiously waiting their regularisation but it seems that the Education Deptt has forgotten the case of these officers. No action has been taken by the deptt in this regard thus depriving the ZEOs to avail the benefit of promotion. The officers who have performed/are performing their duties as ZEOs are suffering for want of monetary benefit of promotion.
So, the DyCM (holding charge of Education Minister), Commissioner-cum-Secretary Education Deptt. and Directors School Education Jammu/Kashmir are requested to issue order of regularisation of ZEOs without any further delay. It is hoped that the Education authorities will pay heed towards this burning problems and the sufferers would get justice.
