JAMMU, Aug 2: An online meeting of Water Testing Laboratory Employees Association Jal Shakti was held here today under the chairmanship of Association president, Yashbir Singh.
Speakers in the meeting, they demanded regularization of all the laboratory staff by framing a policy for the same.
They further demanded that shortage of staff in water testing laboratories should be fulfilled soon.
“As per norms a water testing laboratory must have manpower of eight but most of the laboratories in Jammu province are working with manpower of two or three only,” speakers in the meeting said.
Demand of UT level water testing laboratory was also raised on this occasion so that all other labs can function under a single head called Chief Chemist as per Uniform Drinking Water Protocol-2020.
Akhil Gupta, Abdul Guffar, Rahul Verma, Amit Bandral and others also addressed the meeting.
