Resignation of Sham Lal Sharma Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control from the council of ministers of J&K Govt over the non regularization of casual workers, working in various Govt departments for the last so many years is a very ‘Bold’ rather a welcome step.
Regional bias relating to employment or appointment in any office under the state is against the principles of natural justice, No citizen on the ground or belonging to any region i.e Jammu, Leh, Kashmir or Ladakh be treated ineligible or discriminated in respect of jobs and employment. There must be eqality and protection irrespective of region and religion.
While setting aside the controversy regarding timing of resignation of Sham Lal, it is appreciated by all the casual workers and their family members that their distress, and acute suppressed voice has been raised by some one.
