Rehabilitation of overaged migrant youth demanded

JAMMU, Sept 5: Kashmiri Displaced United Council (KDUC) and All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) today demanded that the Government should take immediate steps in rehabilitation of displaced over aged youth who are the worst victims of the turmoil.
In their separate statements the president AMCCC, Desh Rattan and coordinator KDUC Vinod Tickoo urged the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, R K Pandita to take up the issue in the ensuing Apex Committee meeting also. They also appealed the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to look into this problem as the overaged migrant youth are a frustrated lot because they have no source of income.
Besides demanding construction of more shops at Jagti they demanded that the soft loans be given to displaced overaged youth to start their business units.
