REASI, Feb 3: Rehriwallas from Reasi town today held protest demonstration against Municipal Committee staff for their action during anti-encroachment drive.
The minor clash also erupted at Bus Stand during a drive by the Municipal Committee staff, with the Rehriswalls who were strongly opposing action.
As per the information, Municipal Committee employees on Wednesday afternoon seized some Rehris on pich and choose basis at Bus Stand.
During this drive, Rehriwalas assembled and rued that Municipal Committee conducted selective encroachment drive as some Rrehriwalas were allowed and some were informed in advance by MC employees so that they move their Rehris to other locations.
During the drive, a clash was also erupted between both sides. The rehriwalas later sat on dharna at Bus Stand and started protest demanding release of their Rehris.
The Municipal Committee employees also announced to observe strike from Thursday if no action was taken against the Rehriwalas who misbehaved and beat up a MC employee.
