JAMMU, June 11: Over 534 highly educated youth engaged in J&K Forest Department under Rebar-e-Janglat (ReJ) Scheme during October 2017, have urged upon the UT Administration to remove disparity in their pay as compared to those engaged under Rehbar-e-Ziraat (ReZ) and Rehbar-e-Khel (ReK) policy.
President, Rehbar-e-Janglat Employees Association Kashmir, Taariq Hamid said that many youth from J&K, including BSc, MSc Forestry and even Ph.D in the subject were engaged by the then PDP-BJP Govt during 2017. They were engaged on the pattern of ReZ and ReK.
It is very unfortunate to observe that BSc and MSc Agriculture candidates engaged under ReZ are getting higher pay while ReJ are being provided just a peanut amount of Rs 5000 per month. Even those engaged under ReK are also getting higher pay, which is highly dioscriminating on the part of Govt.
Tariq urged upon the J&K UT authorities to remove discrimination in pay and start the process of their regularization as GAD has already constituted a committee under Chief Secretary in Feb 2020 to decide their fate and recommend to the Government. He said over 40 % of the candidates have already turned over aged and others are nearing to complete the maximum age limit.
