SUNDERBANI, Dec 16 : Former MLC and chief spokesperson JKPCC, Ravider Sharma today appealed to the people to reject pro- rich and anti-youth, anti- farmer and anti- poor policies of BJP and elect the Congress backed independent candidate, Arun Sharma in Sunderbani DDC elections.
Addressing largely attended public rallies in Devak, Bandrai and Bimliya areas of Sunderbani today alongwith DDC candidate Arun Sharma, Sharma said the enthusiasm amongst people reflects the anti- BJP mood of the people who are fed up with the hollow slogan and lack of development in the areas. He said that Congress has extended support to Arun Sharma to save division of votes to defeat the anti- Jammu, anti- people BJP in these elections.
Sharma said that BJP had assured to protect the land and jobs of the local youth but has betrayed the huge mandate and opened up sale of land and jobs to outsiders while in neighbouring Himachal Pradesh, no outsiders can purchase land.
He said Devak was given a BDO Block and Niabat in 2014 by previous Congress Govt but BJP government cancelled the same and done great injustice to the people of the area. He said that the poor quality of road works during BJP regime exposed their misdeeds and people are suffering.
Arun Sharma expressed gratitude to the Congress party and Ravinder Sharma for their support to him and assured to serve the people to the best of his capacity. He assured to treat every section equally and do all round development after getting elected. He raised various issues of the people which were neglected by the BJP and the local legislators after massive mandate.
Several Sarpanchs, Panchs and prominent leaders also addressed the gatherings.
