JAMMU, July 24: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district president, Jammu South, Rekha Mahajan stated that advancement and promising governance under Narendra Modi is main reason of BJP’s popularity across the region as the party has made a distinction in the political arena by making general public realize the importance of good governance in the real sense.
Rekha Mahajan along with local councillor, Ajay Gupta kick-started the upgradation of the lane and drain work in Ward No.52, 1/C East Extension near Marble Market in Bahu constituency here, today.
While speaking on the occasion, Rekha said it was a long pending demand of the people of the area as the lane was in bad shape for many years and since then it was never repaired and upgraded. She said that it was in dilapidated condition following which locals were facing many hardships.
While stressing upon the executing agency to maintain the quality of the work, she said that it should be completed within the prescribed time. Ajay Gupta councillor said that it was a long pending demand of the Ward and which is being fulfilled. He said that this work will enhance the beauty of the Ward and will also be very helpful for the people and hoped that he will live up to the expectations of the people to make this Ward a modern Ward of Jammu city.
Later Rekha Mahajan along with Ajay Gupta also interacted with residents of the locality.
She further acknowledged that the “Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC)” is undertaking several projects to give an upliftment to the face of the Jammu district South.
District general secretary, Pushpinder Singh, Ward president, Nitin Thappa, Ajay Kumar, Dev Raj Gupta, Tarsem Singh Chib, Sampurn Singh, Rajneesh, Subhash Chowdhary, Tara Chand, Ramesh Choudhary, Hans Raj, Mukesh Gupta, Monu Gupta, and others prominent persons were present on the occasion.
