Rekha Mahajan highlights achievements of Modi Govt

JAMMU, June 22: Rekha Mahajan, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) District President, Jammu South, today launched a door-to-door campaign to popularise the achievements of nine years of Narendra Modi Government in the Centre.
Under the campaign, she visited the Senior Citizen’s Rejuvenation Centre in Trikuta Nagar and handed over pamphlets describing the achievements of the Modi-led Government. President Senior Citizen Rejuvenation Centre Baldev Raj Gupta, accompanied by Shubchander Verma, and the team of senior citizens also performed yoga in the program.
Addressing a gathering, Rekha Mahajan said that the massive infrastructure built in Jammu and Kashmir during the Modi Government’s tenure under various schemes has changed the lives of the people.
In the last nine years, she said, the senior citizens in particular have been immensely benefitted from various Government schemes as she claimed that the Government is likely to hike the Senior Citizens Savings Scheme upper limit from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. According to her, the Government recently revised the interest rates for the scheme to 8 percent per annum for the fourth quarter.
She further claimed that the Government is all set to launch a new small savings scheme, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Mahila Samman Bachat Patra for women, Jan Dhan Yojana, PMAY and many other public friendly schemes for the welfare of the society.
She said the country has witnessed unprecedented development in every sector with the Mantra of “nation first” guiding PM Modi’s policies.
She added, “in the last 9 years, the Modi Government has given the nation four strong pillars, which are respect, internal and external security, welfare of the individuals, and infrastructure development.”
