JAMMU, June 2: The relatives of a man, who was murdered yesterday in Marh area under Domana police station staged protest at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) today.
The people and relatives of the murdered man identified as Bua Ditta, son of Des Raj of Smailpur, Marh staged protest outside mortuary of GMC Hospital today.
The protestors were demanding immediate arrest of the accused namely Nirmal Singh alias Fikky of Marh.
As reported, Bua Ditta had heated argument with Nirmal Singh alias Fikky over a land dispute yesterday. Later, Nirmal Singh allegedly attacked Bua Ditta with a stone resulting into the death of latter.
On getting information, police team from Domana police station rushed to the spot and shifted the body of the deceased to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
After conducting the autopsy today, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under Section 302 RPC stands registered at police station Domana and manhunt was launched to arrest the accused.
However, the accused was at large when last reports were compiled today.
