JAMMU, Nov 13: Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) of J&K has urged upon the Government to release 10 % DA in favour of employees and pensioners.
In a meeting of the employees held at Akhnoor under the banner of Federation, its president Abdul Majid Khan made strong plea to the State Government to release DA in favour of employees and pensioners due from July 2013, without any further delay. He said that in view of soaring prices of every item, the employees are facing lot of hardships. Mr Khan also demanded hike in the medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month and enhancement of retirement age of employees from 58 to 60, at par with Central Government employees.
