UDHAMPUR, Jan 31: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its senior member Ram Parshad.
The members of the front condemned the lathicharge on the peaceful march of Government employees to Civil Secretariat under the banner of Joint Consultative Committee (JCC).
While speaking, Ram Parshad said that the Government employees were struggling for their demands including enhancement in the retirement age from 58 to 60 years, removal of pay anomalies of masters and clerical staff, regularization of contractual and daily wagers and release of 10 per cent DA.
The members warned the Government to release the detained employees and revoke ESMA on them and treat their agitating period as on duty otherwise the employees will not hesitate to come on roads.
Among others present were Surinder Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Satpal, Shivdev Singh, Sudesh Kumar, Rakesh Balwal, Chaman Lal, Ashok Kumar, etc.
