Release GP Fund, other dues of retired employees: GEJAF

JAMMU, Oct 29: All J&K Govt Employees Joint Action Front (GEJAF) comprising all the unions of different departments of J&K UT Govt has demanded release of GP Fund, gratuity and other dues of the retired employees in the Jammu and Kashmir.
In a meeting of the United Front held at Jammu, under the Chairmanship of Ganesh Khujuria , alongwith the senior Trade Union leaders including Sushil Sudan, Suresh Sharma, Subash Verma and others the speakers expressed strong resentment over the delay being caused by Government in releasing pending dues of the recently retired employees.
The meeting also reviewed the preparedness for the one day protest demonstration, being held at Maharaja Hari Singh Park, Jammu and Press Enclave, Srinagar, on November 04, 2023, Saturday, at 11:00 am.
The main agenda points highlighted and discussed in the meeting included, immediate clearance and release of the pending bills of GP Fund advance which are lying pending in the Govt Treasuries since last so many months, release of the pension gratuity, pension commutation amounts, leave encashment/earned leave (Cash-in-lieu), in favour of all the retired Govt employees who are waiting for the same since March 2023 till date but the Government is not bothered about their plight as the MT is not being released to the Treasuries by the Govt,
They also demanded timely release of the monthly salary in favour of all the Government employees on the first of every month regularly by way of releasing the Salary Grants and the MT well in time to the concerned offices and the Govt Treasuries, implementation of 7th. Pay Commission in favour of all the employees of Public Sector Undertakings, implementation of Old Pension Scheme in favour of all the Government employees working under NPS in the J&K UT, clearance of all the pending cases who are to be employed under the provisions of SRO- 43, implementation of the five days working per week pattern in all the Govt Departments in the J&K UT, regularisation of all the daily rated workers engagement in the different Government Departments and working on the meagre wages since decades.
