Release of 2 months relief, ration to migrants demanded

JAMMU, Mar 27: BJP Kashmir Displaced District (BJP KDD) today appealed Governor administration that in view of COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, two months ration and relief be released forthwith in favour of Kashmiri migrants in advance who are living in exile to tide over their miseries.
BJP KDD president, T.N. Bhat,  Shuban Pandit, Bharat Bhushan Bhat (Gosani), Makhan Lal, all vice presidents, Vinod Pandita, Virender Sathu, general secretaries and Vishal Jotshi, secretary in joint statement here appealed the Government to issue the same from zones and ration depots falling near their present residences on their registered ration cards. They demanded provisions for  ensuring   daily sprays, fumigation and sanitation in all migrant colonies, special provisions be made for availability of life saving drugs for the patients suffering from chronic ailments in their near by camps as requested by such patients , availability of sufficient  medicines and masks in Jagti Hospital and other dispensaries,  availability of essential commodities at the door steps in migrant colonies , provisions for supply of pure drinking water on daily  basis in camps, non camps  etc.
They said keeping in view the COVID-19 pandemic threat the public should stay in homes for their safety and requested them to co-operate and follow the guidelines and advisories of Government during the lockdown period in letter and spirit. Further they welcomed the constitution of volunteers team in UT of Jammu and Kashmir by State BJP leadership  for providing all sort of assistance to the needy and poor people in every nook and corner of UT which is a good gesture and laudable in all forms.
