JAMMU, Apr 6: All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) has urged the Government to release salaries of the employees of Education and Rural Development Department appointed under New Pension Scheme (NPS).
In a statement, LPEF president, Abdul Majid Khan, said that some employees of Education and Rural Development Department appointed under NPS are without salary for last more than five months and the salary bills prepared and presented in the treasuries have not been drawn so far because of which they and their families are on the verge of starvation.
He sought immediate release of matching grant for payment of salaries of these employees in order to save them from undue hardships.
