Release wages of daily rated workers: LPEF

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Oct 28: While lauding the release of 5 % DA installment and final installment of 7th CPC arrears in respect of all employees and pensioners, All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) has demanded release of pending wages of daily rated workers.
Abdul Majid Khan, president of the Federation laid emphasis upon release of funds for the payment of pending wages / salary to daily wage workers of PDD, PHE and other departments, ReT Teachers, Anganwari workers/ helpers, adhoc and contractual employees etc. He said release of their wages would relieve them and their families from starvation they are facing when the prices of essential commodities are rising sky high day by day due to anti- people and anti- working classes adopted by the successive Central/ State Governments.
The Federation chief extending support to the pensioners, called upon the office of Principal Accountant General J&K Jammu/ Srinagar to complete the process of revision of pension under formulation- II of Govt Order No.222-F of 2018 at the earliest so that the pensioners especially the elderly pensioners are able to avail the benefit of pension revision in their life time as this process has been taken in hand way back in July last year and is still going on in a very slow pace.
