Relief distribution continues in flood hit areas of J&K

JAMMU, Sept 28: Relief distribution material continued in various areas of the flood-ravaged Jammu and Kashmir.
A team of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Welfare Committee under the leadership of its chairman Dr Sushil distributed blankets, utensils and ration items among the flood affected people of Raipur-Domana constituency. He urged upon the victims to contact on 9906144984 for any assistance.
BJP press secretary and incharge Sharnarthi Cell Ashok Kumar Khajuria today visited Belicharana and distributed relief materials including blankets and edible items among the flood victims.
BJP Human Rights Cell State Convenor Dr Tahir Chowdhary, alongwith State spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan and BJP Industry Cell State Convenor Vikram Randhawa distributed relief items like blankets, atta, rice, bakery, dal, etc among two hundred families through a stall set at Makkah Masjid Chowk in Bhatindi area of Gandhi Nagar Assembly Constituency.
Ramakrishna Mission today distributed house construction material among homeless families in far flung Budhal area of Rajouri district. Ramakrishna mission today distributed more than 1700 steel roof sheets and 850 cement bags among 85 flood affected families. Secretary Ramakrishna Mission, Nirantranda Ji Maharaj, Chairman Budhal United Front Mohammad Farooq Inqlabi, Tehsildar Kotranka Israr Ahmed Mir, SHO Vishal Manhas, Shahnawaz Khaki, Gulzar Qazi besides many others were also present.
Senior NC leader and Chairman, Children’s Welfare Society Gurdeep Singh Sasan distributed cotton quilts to the flood victims of Rajouri and Poonch districts.
Miran Sahib police headed by Inspector Sanjeev Singh cleaned the cremation ground at Ward Number 4, Simble Camp. The overgrowth grass and tress were also cut.
A seven member team of IIMC Alumni Association supported by IFFCO and IFFCO Kisaan Seva Trust (IKST) distributed relief materials including clothes, woolens, blankets, food grain packets, biscuits, sanitary napkins, baby food, packed foods, medicines, chlorine tablets etc among flood and landslide affected 500 families in 14 villages of Chowki Choura in tehsil Akhnoor namely Sandal, Majoor, Ghaar, Budhi Chiryai, Kanehri, Turgala, Bal Saro, Chowki, Choura, Gour Bajorian, Juthal and Tilla. SDM Jagdish Singh accompanied the team members including Archana Kumari, Rahul Yadav, Avantika Gupta, Supriya Batra, Gourav Gupta, Deeksha Saksena, Akash Priyan and IFFCO officials during the drive.
