JAMMU, Oct 2: Relief holders of Jagti who are on dharna for over last two months today accused the Government of adopting delaying tactics in redressal of their demand.
In a statement Ajay Bhat a representative of the relief holders said that the Government has failed to fulfill the promise regarding enhancement of cash relief despite knowing fully that the relief holders have no sources of income except the meager cash doles being paid to them by Government.
In an appeal to AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi who is visiting Kashmir valley tomorrow, the relief holders while turning his attention towards their plight sought his intervention in the matter. They urged him to persuade the Union Government to do the needful in the matter by according sanction to State Government’s proposal in this regard.
