JAMMU, Aug 18: To provide doorstep delivery of services and on the spot redressal of grievances, the Relief & Rehabilitation Organisation (M) J&K today organized an interactive and grievances redressal, camp for Kashmiri Migrants at Purkhoo Camp.
The Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) J&K, K.K. Sidha, along with Deputy Commissioner, Relief, Devender Singh Bhau, Riaz Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner and staff of Relief Organisation gave a patient hearing to the demands of the inhabitants of the Purkhoo Camp and redressed several grievances on the spot.
The Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) J&K assured the migrants that the UT Government and the Relief Organisation is committed towards delivery of services and mitigation of all the inconveniences of the migrants.
The spokesperson from the Purkhoo Camp apprised the Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner about the problems, issues faced by the migrants. The Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (M), K.K. Sidha said that the interaction has been organized to have firsthand appraisal of all the issues of inhabitants of Purkhoo Camp, listen to their suggestions and inputs for their welfare.
During the camp, the team issued 52 Ayushman Golden Cards, 12 Migration Certificates for Employment/Education purpose, provided all services related to the ration cards i.e, Inclusion, Bifurcation, 02 RBA Certificates, issued 12 Domicile Certificates and also assessed the issues related to civil works, sanitation, issues of electricity, water supply, supply of medicines in Health Centres, besides grievance related to property were also discussed.
The Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) directed the Technical Officer to prepare estimates for all repair and renovations works of the Purkhoo Camp quarters and furnish the same to his office within one week.
During the session, several issues pertaining to Kashmiri migrants were discussed and the RRCM assured the participants of timely resolution of all their issues and concerns.
The inmates of Purkhoo Camp through their President, Dayakrishen expressed gratitude to Relief Organisation (M) for this outreach programme which cemented their faith in the system.
Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) K.K. Sidha stated that this is the first of its kind initiative of the Relief Organisation and similar camps would be organised in all other migrant camps and non-camp areas.
