Religious functions held at Magh Purnima

JAMMU, Feb 3: The month- long spiritual activities of Magh Mass culminated in various Ashrams on the occasion of Magh Purnima today which is also known as Kaw Purnima with the solemnization of Maha Yagyas.
The month-long spiritual activity culminated at Bhagawaan Gopinathji Ashram, Udaywala, Bohri today. The activity commenced on January 6.
Despite inclement weather and down pour hundreds of the devotees thronged the Ashram to receive the flowing grace of Bhagawaanji.
During the month long function half crore Vedic mantras were recited for the welfare of mankind. Besides, Shalokas from Mahimnapaar, Guru Geeta, Panchastavi, Maga Malla were recited and homa was also conducted daily.
Another function was held at Swami Kumar Ji Geeta Satsang Ashram Muthi where also the month long activities of Magh Mass culminated with performance of a Maha Yagya.
Hundreds of devotees attended the function which was also graced by Anand Swami Pran Nath Bhat Gareeb. A hawan was performed and devotees were served the prashad.
Bhajan Kirtan was also held and Swami Ji highlighted the significance of Kaw Purnima on the occasion.
During the entire month of Magh Mass the importance of Bhagwat Katha, Ramayan Katha, Maha Bhagwat Puran, Geeta Jee, Magh Mass Katha and other religious scriptures were released by Swami Kumar Ji.
On the occasion of Magh Purnima a Maha Yagya was also performed at Swami Nand Bab Ashram, Lale De Bagh under the patronage of Swami Chaman Lal Ji Bamzae.
The Hawan started on February 2 and culminated this afternoon with Puranahuti. A large number of devotees attended the function and paid obeisance to Swami Nand Bab on the occasion. Later they were served with prashad.
