All religious leaders vow to fight for Ladakh issues

LEH, Sept 1: During the Sarva Dharma Swachhta Sankalp campaign in Leh, all religious leaders    unanimously resolved to raise the Ladakhi demands before the concerned authority through a common letter signed by all the stakeholders.
These demands include; opening of Kailash Mansarvovar road from Ladakh, recognition to Bhoti language by including it in 8th schedule of Indian Constitution and uniform airfare during winter, which otherwise touches upto Rs 25000 to Rs 30000 per sector.
While addressing, during concluding day of Sarva Dharma Swachhta Evam Sadbhavana Sankalp Swachh Ladakh Campaign Programme, organized by Global Inter-faith WASH Alliance India, GIWA co-founder, Swami Chidanand Saraswati said that
India is not a piece of land but peace of Ladakh.
The gathering offered prayer at holy Indus river site and while singing patriotic songs, waved the National Flag as holy water blessing ceremony concluded.
Expressing his delight and privilege to be present at the holy river site, Union Minister for Science & Technology, Dr Harsh Vardhan assured to appraise the PM about Ladakhi issues. He expressed his hope that under the guidance of PM Modi, India will develop into new height and likewise Ladakh too will have its share of development. He also applauded the contribution of brave soldiers guarding the borders with pride and commitment.
J&K Cooperative & Ladakh Affair Minister, Chering Dorjay, mentioned about great significance of Indus River having historical importance relating to Indus valley civilization. He  said that Indus is the identity of India and people inhibiting nears the Indus get inspire by the River and Mount Kailash is Holy River not only for Hindus but also to Buddhist thus road opening from Ladakh is must.
MIMC founder president Bhikkhu Sanghasena expressed his gratitude to all participants and added their presence including media will surely help to highlight the various issues of Ladakh. He also mentioned about communal harmony of Ladakh and added that their visit will further strengthen the communal harmony.
