Religious ‘samagam’ held on martyrdom day of Guru Gobind’s younger sahibzadas

JAMMU, Dec 26: To mark the martyrdom day of the younger sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh, Minority Morcha of BJP under the aegis of Ranjodh Singh Nalwa organized a ‘samagam’ in which ‘shabadkirtan’ was sung and light was thrown on the life and contribution of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib and his family in the fight against tyranny.
While speaking on the occasion, Nalwa said that carrying the tradition of sacrifice for the country forward many Sikh soldiers have laid down their lives for the nation and have been awarded highest gallantry awards.
Party president Sat Sharma while bowing down to the sacrifice of the sons of the Guru, said that tribute should be paid to these young martyrs by naming important roads and monuments after them and not those who were oppressors.
Shakti Parihar (convener) said that the Party had organized programs on the booth and mandal levels to spread awareness amongst one and all about the unparalleled sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh and his family.
MLA Vikram Randhawa stressed that to imbibe the spirit of the young martyrs is a necessity in today’s world while ex-MLC Charanjeet Singh Khalsa highlighted the life and sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh.
Others present on the occasion were Rekha Mahajan, Rajiv Charak, Baldev Singh Bloria, Rajinder Singh Raju, Damanjeet Singh, Harpal Singh, Surjit Singh, Santokh Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Dr Surjeet Singh, Joginder Singh and Sucha Singh.
