UDHAMPUR, Dec 21: Spokesperson BJP J&K Ranbir Singh Pathania conducted two day tour of the Dudu-Basantgarh areas and addressing public meetings at Latti, Dudu, Basantgarh, Khaned, Ponara, Mang and Upper Ponara.
While addressing a public gathering, Pathania called upon the local administration to gear up and attune itself towards the needs and essentialities of local area.
He called for immediate completion of work from Basantgarh to Khaned road and start of work on Ponara to Loudhra and Raichak-Kadwah PMGSY roads, road connectivity upto Chigla Balota and Siyamehri villages, setting up of Sub District Hospital feeding PHC Basantgarh, PHC Dudu and PHC Latti to the area and plying of RTC buses.
He also called upon authorities to remain focussed on completion of works on Ramnagar to Basantgarh and Dudu roads. “Although, two CRF projects and three PMGSY upgradation projects are sanctioned since years but the pace and quality of work is quite unimpressive”, he said.
With regard to promoting the tourism potential of the area, he welcomed Government move for enlisting the villages under tourist map. He said that a comprehensive scheme for tourist promotion with regard to promoting these beautiful and picturesque scenes and landscapes of the area need to be formulated.
Pathania was accompanied by DDC Latti, Pinky Devi, Chairman BDC Basantgarh, Kewal Parihar, Suram Chand Mandal President, Bhim Singh and Purshotam Kumar General Secretaries, Mohammad Ayub, Mohammad Saleem, Ghulam Hussain, Ram Nath and local workers.
