JAMMU, May 15: Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) has termed the removal of illegal encroachment on Government land at Balol Industrial Estate by the Samba District Administration a step in right direction.
The BBIA stated that an anti-encroachment drive was carried out by the District Administration Samba under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Samba and Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, assisted by SDPO Bari Brahmana, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Tehsildar Bari Brahmana and other officials of J&K Police, Revenue, Industries Department & J&K SIDCO to vacate the encroached land of Balol Industrial Estate from the illegal occupants which will also help to control the drug menace in and around SIDCO Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana.
Lalit Mahajan, president along with other office bearers of BBIA, while appreciating the efforts of Abhishek Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Vinay Sharma, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Mukund Tibrewal, Assistant Superintendent of Police ( Officiating SDPO Bari Brahmana), Ms Punica, Tehsildar, Bari Brahmana, Sumit Sharma, SHO, Bari Brahmana and other officials of Revenue, Industries Department and J&K SIDCO for taking strict action to remove the encroachment of Balol Industrial land in spite of stiff resistance from the illegal occupants.
The joint team took possession of retrieved 150 kanals of land and handed over to JK SIDCO and Industries Department for onwards handing over the said land to prospective investors who had already deposited their hard earned money with J&K SIDCO since 2018 and now they will get the land for the establishment of new Industrial units which will provide relief to the unit holders and also generate employment opportunities for local youth.
The BBIA requested the Managing Director, J&K SIDCO, Inderjeet for the speedy handing over of this 150 Kanals of land to the prospective investors for raising much delayed Industrial units.
