UDHAMPUR, Sept 29: Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) has appealed the Lieutenant Governor and Principal Secretary School Education to intervene personally and remove the assessment session from the IMPACT training.
Addressing a press conference at Udhampur, UT president of JKTJAC Vinod Sharma said that the Joint Action Committee will hold protests at all district headquarters of J&K on October 3 regarding harassment/humiliation of Teachers Grade II and Teachers Grade III on the name of so called 4 days assessment during IMPACT Training.
“We have been cooperating with the department by joining the IMPACT training online and even are conducting/ready to start community classes to meet out the losses of the students due to COVID-19, but the department is going to harass on the name of 4 days assessment which is humiliation of the teachers “, he said adding that the department is forcing the teachers to come on roads.
He appealed all the teachers appointed under ReT scheme to join the protest at their respective district headquarters by following SOPs as per Government guidelines.
Others who attended the press conference were Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Sham Sharma, Kuldeep Katoch, Anil Sharma, Vipen Sharma, Parshant Sharma, Vinay Sharma, Ajay Thakur, Som Raj, Rameek Singh, Ravinder Atri, Vijay Sadotra, Diwakar and Suresh Verma.
