JAMMU, May 19: Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments’ Clerical Staff Association (ADCSA), Jammu Province, has demanded the Government to remove pay anomalies of the clerical cadre.
In a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship of its president, Ravi Singh Bhau, chairman, Anil Mehta, general secretary, Sukhbir Singh and senior vice-president, Ravi Kumar, the speakers condemned the anti-employees and anti-workers policies of the State Government, which they alleged after reaching a number of agreements with clerical cadre, failed to concede their genuine demands.
Bhau said, “As the code of conduct is over now, we appeal the Chief Minister and Finance Minister to intervene personally to remove pay anomalies in the pay structure (5th Pay Commission) of the clerical cadre and grant the pay scale of 4000-6000 to Junior Assistants, 4500-7000 to Senior Assistants/ Junior Statistical Assistants/ Steno Typists and 5500-9000 to Head Assistants/ Statistical Assistants/ Junior Stenographers notionally with effect from January 1, 1996 and monetary with effect from February 19, 2003, as recommended by Convener, Pay Anomaly Committee in its report already submitted to the Government.
