JAMMU, Nov 26: National Panthers Party has demanded that traffic chaos on New Plot- Janipur road be removed.
Expressing serious concern over the negligence on the part of Administration and Traffic Police, NPP Zonal president Jammu Neeraj Gupta said that at New Plot-Amphalla junction near Batra Petrol Pump, there is worst traffic chaos witnessed always. There is a blind curve and Katra-Udhampur-Doda bound buses stop there and the one tube is get closed. There is urgent need to create a well designed Rotary to contain accidents and remove traffic chaos there. Same is the position at next Mian Dido Chowk though cops are always seen there but Mini-bus operators indulge in traffic violations in front of them and go unpunished due to the reason best known to those deployed in `blue uniform’.
Gupta said that at Janipur Chowk also there is always a traffic mess. There is urgent need to go for road widening in this area and also on Canal Road and Talab Tilloo road. He demanded that Traffic lights be made functional at all the crossings of Jammu city.
