Rename Suhelwa Wildlife Sanctuary as Suheldev Sanctuary: Yogi

GONDA (UP), Mar 20 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said that Suhelwa Wildlife Sanctuary in Gonda should be renamed as Suheldev Wildlife Sanctuary.
During the divisional review meeting in Gonda, the CM said that on the occasion of the completion of eight years of the government, the achievements and development schemes of the central and state government should be publicised in the fair to be held at all the district headquarters from March 25 to 27.
He also heard the problems of the public representatives of Balrampur, Bahraich and Shravasti, including Gonda, who were virtually connected, and directed the officials to resolve them.
Yogi said that the problem of road cutting should be resolved immediately under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme. “Loan facility should be made available to as many beneficiaries as possible under the CM Udyam Vikas Abhiyan Yojana. Construction work should be done on the embankments so that no untoward incident occurs during the flood,” he said.
He said, “Nodal officers should be nominated for all major projects. If there is no improvement in the progress of construction work, action should be taken against the officials.”
The CM said that all projects should be completed on time. “Unnecessary extension of time and looting of government money should be stopped. The responsibility of the implementing agencies should be fixed. The quality of construction work should be checked at the beginning. No compromise should be made on quality. Government Engineering College Gonda, Maa Pateshwari University Balrampur, and other construction works going on in the division should be completed on time,” he said.
He inquired about the progress of the settlement of revenue cases in the division and said that non-settlement of revenue cases spoils the image of the government. “Every revenue case should be settled on time. All pending revenue cases should be settled tehsil-wise. Suspension action should be taken against officers with poor progress,” he directed.
Yogi said, “Pending cases should be settled by setting up special courts. New cases should be settled on time. Non-settlement of cases affects law and order.”
He said that liquor smuggling from Nepal should be stopped. “Spurious and adulterated liquor should not be sold anywhere in the division. The brokers roaming in the RTO offices of all the districts should also be curbed,” he said.
He said, “Each department should set up stalls at these fairs to provide information about government schemes and their benefits to the public. Local folk arts and traditions should also be showcased during the fairs.”
Yogi directed that illegal activities such as animal smuggling, liquor smuggling, and other criminal activities must be completely stopped. “Police verification of all e-rickshaw drivers should be conducted, and no minor should be allowed to drive vehicles,” he said.
He said that roads in all divisions should be properly maintained and old or hazardous electrical wires should be replaced. “Drinking water and sewer-related problems should be resolved. Problems related to tehsils and police stations should be eliminated. Every citizen’s complaint should be taken seriously, and strict action should be taken to ensure justice,” he said.
The CM said that all Vantangia villages should be included in the revenue village category to ensure continuous development. “Development work in aspirational blocks should be expedited to make them more advanced. DIOS and BSA officers should work on improving school education and ensuring that all school-related schemes reach the intended beneficiaries,” he said.
