Renault Kwid launched, prices begin at Rs 2.67 lakh

JAMMU, Nov 13: Renault Jammu launched the most-awaited car of the year “Renault Kwid” today, at an introductory entry-level pricing of Rs 2,67,873 (Ex-Jammu). This is the first launch in the global journey of Renault Kwid, and reflects the importance of India in Renault’s global expansion plans.
The Renault Kwid was unveiled in Jammu by Kavinder Gupta, Speaker, Legislative Assembly in presence of Satyam Gupta, Director, Autobahn Motors Private Limited, Jammu, Deepak Raina, RM, RIPL, Abhinav Goyal, ASM, RIPL, Dalbir Singh, Amit Sharma and customers.
The Kwid, based on the CMF-A platform, measures 3,679 mm in length, 1,579 mm in width, 1,478 mm in height and 2,422 mm in wheelbase. It has a ground clearance of 180 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 28 litre.
Features seen on the top-end variant include power steering, AC, front power windows, fog-lights, keyless entry and central locking, a 7-inch touch-screen Media-NAV system with Bluetooth, USB, AUX-in, and an optional driver airbag.
The Kwid is powered by a 799 cc three-cylinder petrol engine capable of 54 PS at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm of torque at 4,386 rpm. It is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, with an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 25.17 km/l.
Together with the superior mileage and high localization level, Renault Kwid will be best-in-class in maintenance part costs. Renault will offer a 50,000 km/2 Year Maintenance Policy, extendable up to 80,000 km/4 years. Renault will also offer complementary Road Side Assistance for 2 years.
On the accessories front, Renault Kwid will come with a tempting array of design, trim and technological accessories that will allow customers to personalize their car. An exciting range of accessories across 60 categories have been developed along with an interesting set of lifestyle decals, another segment first offering. In addition 6 accessory packs—Basic pack, Essential Pack, Smart Chrome Pack, Intense Chrome pack, Luxury pack and Outdoor pack will also be available.
