The recent terror attacks in the Dudu area of Udhampur and Doda districts highlight a disturbing resurgence of terrorism in regions of Jammu that had been relatively peaceful.
These incidents, resulting in the tragic loss of brave security personnel, underline the persistent and evolving threat posed by cross-border terrorism.
It is imperative that security strategies be recalibrated to address this renewed focus on Jammu by terrorist handlers. The Government’s swift response, along with the reinforcement of security forces, is commendable. However, there must be an intensified effort in intelligence gathering, particularly in tracking sleeper cells and networks aiding these attacks.
The unwavering commitment of our security forces, coupled with the support of local communities, is crucial to ensuring that these cowardly acts are met with decisive and effective action.
