Renovate Police Station Chenani

Sir,
I would like to request Director General of J&K Police to recognise the historical and heritage importance of old building of Police Station: Chenani and order its immediate renovation to bring it in its original shape. It is to be noted that this is not an ordinary building, but last of only remains of Chandervanshi Kings who ruled Chenani State from eighth century onwards. Due to official neglect, all the Forts and Palaces of this great longest surviving kingdom were turned into ruins without any consideration of their history and heritage. Now there remains no visible sign in Chenani which was a capital city with all infrastructure and offices.
This building was occupied by Police Department many years ago and is being used till day without any repair and renovation. It is pertinent to mention that this building was  not the police station building of Raja Chenani, but it was a  private building of the Raja, constructed at the time of marriage of Tikka Parkash Chand Ji of Chenani and later used as State Guest House of Chenani. The Police Station of Chenani during the period of Raja Ram Chand was near present Higher Secondary School, but due to the unfavourable conditions, the Police occupied this building for some time.
The Director General should pay visit to Chenani and order immediate renovation of this building in consultation with members of Royal family C/o Chenani House-Julaka Mohalla Jammu and the services of renowned Architect be hired to restore the old glory of this building and declare it as protected heritage building. The Police Department in J&K has done great social service to the society in the past and this step of Police Department will preserve historical and cultural heritage of erstwhile great State of Chenani.
Yours etc….
