Renovate temples associated with Amarnath Yatra: Shiv Sena

JAMMU, June 23: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K has expressed concern over the pathetic condition of ancient Mamleshwar and Ganeshbal temples located near main base camp of Shri Amarnath Yatra in Pahalgam.
The Shiv Sena demanded immediate renovation of these temples.
In a press conference here today Shiv Sena J&K chief Manish Sahni said that condition of the famous ancient Hindu temples associated with the annual Amarnath Yatra is pathetic.
“Pehla Darshan of the pilgrimage, Shri Ganesh Temple of Ganeshbal has been reduced to just a signboard and some holy red stones,” he maintained adding, “This temple was damaged by the floods in Kashmir in 2014 but even after ten years, it is not rebuild.”
Sahni called for the immediate reconstruction of these revered places associated with Amarnath Yatra and having religious significance for Hindus. Shiv Sena women wing president, Meenakshi Chhibber and general secretary, Vikas Bakshi were also present in the press conference.
