SRINAGAR, Mar 2: The author and novelist Khwaja Farooq Renzushah on whose novel “Jheel Jhalti Hai”, a new Bollywood film “Chinar” is based, and is at the completion stage, has expressed surprise on latest threat given by right wing leader Sadhvi Prachi to boycott all films of Khans, as obviously she and her brand were disturbed by some anti-Hindu images in Amir Khan’s film PK.
“However, Sadhvi Prachi failed to convince Censor Board to stop such images as a result PK broke all records of success. Now his brother Faisal Khan, who was earlier reluctant to return to acting, was convinced and impressed by a powerful Kashmir based Novel; Jheel Jhalti Hai and then he agreed to work as a main character in the Chinar movie. Earlier same radicals tried to make Kashmir based film which was adaptation of Shakespeare’s novel Hamlet scripted by Kashmiri young novelist Basharat Peer, as film non grata, but it was also liked by Indian audience and won many national as well as international awards,” Renzushah said in a statement.
“Sadhvi Prachi is now trying to take revenge of all these issues by giving call to boycott all Khans’ films but actually she wants to take revenge of Amir Khan from his brother Faisal Khan, who is returning back to Bollywood after eight years through most powerful film Chinar,” he said.
