This is to draw the attention of the District Administration Samba towards the dilapidated condition of Basantar bridge.
The side wall of this bridge was broken sometime ago by a vehicle. Since then it is lying in the same condition and authorities have not taken any step to repair it.
The authorities should repair this bridge before any accident takes place here. The bridge is also broken at other places as well.
The authorities are therefore requested to get this bridge repaired at the earliest.

Repair K B Nagar road
Almost all roads have been black-topped in the Bantalab and other colonies in the area, but one road has been left unmetalled so far. This road brances off at Petrol Pump near Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bantalab and passes along the Government Mixed Hr. Sec. School Bantalab, Anuradha Public School etc.
The road has developed numerous puddles which cause great inconvenience to scooterist and may pose danger as well, in case it is not repaired at the earliest. This road links the interior roads of K B Nagar and is used by school children. Keeping its importance in view, it is requested that it be black-topped and repaired without further delay of time.

Plea to Chief Secretary
This is to draw the attention of the J.K. Chief Secretary towards pending SRO 43 cases in the General Administration Department (GAD).
The cases pertaining to SRO 43 (Home) 376, need disposal at the earliest. It may be mentioned here that out of 120 cases only 60 have been disposed so far. The rest of the cases have been waiting disposal for the last several months now. Though we have run from pill to post to get this issue resolved, nothing tangible has come so far. As a result, we have been suffering-emotionally and financially. To free us from this agony, it is requested to the Chief Secretary to get the pending cases disposed of at the earliest.

Water shortage hits Anand Nagar
The residents of Lane No. 1, Anand Nagar are facing a chronic shortage of drinking water for the last more than one year. The scenario is worsening with the passage of time tormenting the people in every season and time. The water supply to the lane is either blocked or controlled from the source of supply subjecting the residents to excruciating situation.
The water supply to the lane is being supplied irregularly either once in a day or sometimes after days together. There are no fixed timings which seems to be determined by the whims and fancies of the employees of concerned PHE station. Even if water is supplied, it hardly suffices the needs of the dewellers as either water flow is extremely weak or for very short periods.
The residents have had been running from pillar to post to redress their grievance of dry water pipes but the tube well sub station is either complaining of malfunctioning of electric motors or scarcity of field staff.
We once again plead with the concerned PHE authorities to regulate water to our lane. The single pipe laid almost 30 yrs back has rusted and leaking and has only 4 inches dia, which may please be replaced by new one as the families in habitating the lane have increased considerably over the years.

Repair drains in Lower Shiv Nagar
We, the residents of Lower Shiv Nagar, Lane No. 16, near A.G. Office Jammu, draw the attention of concerned authorities towards the deplorable condition of drains in the area. The drains do not have any outlet here, with the result water in them stinks and often over flows on to the road, thereby causing great inconvenience to residents.
It may be mentioned here that these drains have not been repaired for the last ten years.
It is, therefore, urged to the authorities to get these lanes and drains repaired at the earliest.
