Repair, blacktopping work on Mughal Road begins

POONCH, June 28: On the directions of DDC Poonch Mohammad Aijaz Asad, the authorities have initiated the repair work on Mughal Road from Buffliaz-Chhatta Paani stretch.
The road stretch was damaged due to heavy rains, landslides and snow during winters.
The concerned department provided for Grade-3 WBM to fill the damaged patches from plus-0 km upto 33 km, even as 50 mm WBM of 194.00 cubic metre and 25 mm thick Premix Carpet in 38850 square metre is proposed to cover the approximate distance of 10-11km.
The DDC Poonch directed the concerned department to complete the repair work in minimum possible time and restore the historic road connecting Pirpanjal to Kashmir valley and being used by hundreds of tourists.   He also directed Executive Engineer Mughal Road to start work on the stretches ready for blacktopping without delay.
