Representing India on Miss World stage an honour: Aditi Arya

NEW DELHI: With a dream to bring home the crown, Aditi Arya will be flying to China to take part in the 65th edition of Miss World pageant and the Delhi girl wants to give it her best shot.

            Aditi, who will be competing with 108 participants from across the globe in a finale scheduled to take place on December, 19, 2015 in Hainan Island, Sanya, China, has not nervous as she considers it a “prestigious” moment.

            “I am not at all nervous. I have worked on every possible aspect and now I am just waiting for the big day and give my best performance. I don’t want nervousness to come in between and enjoy the fun part of it. For me India means a lot and being the identity of India is a prestigious thing,” Aditi said.

            Aditi, 22, said aspired to make her country proud since childhood, but never thought beauty pageants can be a possible route.

            She was persuaded by her mother to participate in Miss India contest.

            “During my growing up days I never thought of beauty pageants as a medium to represent my country. But, as I grew up and thanks to my mom I realised that beauty pageant is also a powerful way. (AGENCIES)
