JAMMU, Jan 29: Republic Day was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety.
Carrier Counseling Cell of Government Degree College, Nowshera organized Inter-College Quiz Competition on “Constitution of India” to celebrate 72th Republic Day. A large number of students of different institutions participated in the quiz through online mode. The quiz was organized by Assistant Professor Rajat Bhardwaj and Dr Sarveer Hussain under the supervision of the Principal of the college, Dr. Surinder Kumar. Top 3 students were awarded E-Certificates. The first prize was shared by Shazad Ahmad and Manish Singh of GDC Nowshera. The second position was shared by Ankit Kumar and Nittin Kumar of GDC Nowshera and Alish Raina of GDC Poonch, Mohammad Abrar from GDC Nowshera secured third position.
International Daily Rising School celebrated Republic Day. On the occasion, Hero of 87’ Siachen Standoff Subedar Major and Honorary Captain Bana Singh was the chief guest. International Daily Rising School released News Letter ‘Badte Kadam Volume 2’. The event started with the Flag hoisting marked with prefatory remarks by Dr Atul Hans Director Academics, IDRS along with various cultural performances. Captain SK Hans, Vice Principal Ruchi Manhas, staff members and students were also present on the occasion.
Republic Day was celebrated at Jammu Airport with traditional fervour and patriotism. Dr PR Beuria, Airport Director, AAI, Jammu hoisted the National Flag. Staff of AAI, CISF and various airlines participated in the celebration.
National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) President Subash Shastri in the presence of President Vikram Bhasin, Umesh Malhotra, General Secretary, Raj Kumar Jain, Senior Vice President, Rajeshwar Singh Jamwal, Rakesh Tak, Vice Presidents, Prem Badan, Secretary, Ashwani Arora, Cashier, Vijay Gupta, Yash Pal Sharma, Subash Kohli, Ramesh Nanda, Tara Chand, Krishan Bamotra Advisors, Shyam Saroop, Shubham Jain Member, Shrikant a prominent social activist and all the members of Mohalla Welfare Committee Ward Number 4 unfurled the National Flag during Republic Day function at Mahalakshmi Mandir Chowk, Pacca Danga, Jammu and Gali Khilonia Pacca Danga.
J&K Sports Speedball Association celebrated Republic Day. The National Flag was hoisted by the President of the Association Ravi Tikku in presence of General Secretary Sunny Nanda and other members of Association and Speedball players.
On the occasion of Republic Day, President Sangram Sena RK Raina along with other members unfurled National Flag at Panchayat Ghar Nagrota also and distributed school uniforms, blankets, sweater, ration and other items among the needy persons. Among others present were Capt RS Langeh, General Secretary, Rajesh Banathiya, Advisor, Lala Kishore Kumar Sharma, Sarpanch Halqa Nagrota and President Nagrota Shopkeepers Association, Ved Gandotra, President Freedom Fighter Association, Sudhir Padha, Chairman Divine Touch and member Sewa Samiti, etc.
