Republic Day celebrated with zest, patriotic fervour

JAMMU, Jan 28: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated by J&K unit of JDS at its office located at Neelam Colony, Toph Morh (Jammu), where the Tricolour was unfurled by Party president Mastnath Yogi. In his address, Yogi remembered Indian freedom fighters and paid tribute to architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr B R Ambedkar. Working president, R R Sharma also addressed the gathering.
Arya Samaj, Trikuta Nagar (Jammu) celebrated 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm. Celebrations started with a poise Yagya attended by the members and their families who paid tribute to the martyrs of Indian freedom struggle, followed by unfurling of National Flag by super senior citizen Dev Raj Gupta and junior most Aaushman Ribhav Aarya. Speaking on the occasion, Bharat Bhushan Aarya (senior vice president) explained the importance of Republic Day.
The Day was celebrated with unparalleled fervor and patriotism at the sacred grounds of Zeyshta Mata premises, where a sense of pride and unity illuminated the occasion. The presence of newly elected members of the Zeyshta Mata Executive Body and the CRPF jawans lent the event an air of significance and grandeur with gaurd of honour. The celebrations commenced with the ceremonial unfurling of the National Flag by general secretary of the ZDPC, Romesh Kumar Khuda.
The celebrations of Republic Day commenced in Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Mawa Brahmana with flag hoisting ceremony performed by Principal Puja Gupta. It was followed by march past and cultural program presented by the students.
Nik Darshan Lal GHSS Treva celebrated the Day with great zest and patriotic fervor. Principal P S Billawria unfurled the National Flag in presence of ex-sarpanch Balbir Kour, family of Nik Darshan Lal, staff and students of the School. The students presented a series of cultural activities including dances, songs and skits, showcasing rich and diverse cultural heritage of India.
Jal Shakti (PHE) Employees & Workers Association, district Udhampur celebrated Republic Day at PHE Station Barrian (Udhampur). A large number of employees and workers participated in the function under the chairmanship of Som Nath (senior Trade Union leader and district president of the Association), where the chief guest Sandeep Gupta (Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti PHE Civil Division Udhampur) hoisted the National Flag.
